  • Kristen Chun

    PRESIDENT

    Kristen Chun is a senior at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, MA, and is currently an oboist in the New England Conservatory of Music Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and Honors Woodwind Quintet. Kristen has participated in the MMEA All-State Orchestra and attended the BU Tanglewood Institute. In her free time, Kristen loves café hopping and spending time with friends.

  • Henry Tushman

    DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS

    Henry Tushman is a senior at Wellesley High School. He studies piano at Rivers School Conservatory and NEC. Henry has performed piano concertos as a soloist with orchestras nine times, including four times internationally. This past summer, he played Rachmaninoff's 2nd with Portugal's Orquestra Do Algarve. Outside of classical piano, Henry enjoys experimenting with improvisation and singing in his school's Keynotes choir. He also plays for his schools varsity soccer team and loves spending time with family, friends, and his dog.

  • Calvin Patti

    DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

    Calvin has been studying piano since he was five. He is a prize winner in the 2021 MMTA judged festival for Piano. He started cello as part of the CPS instrumental program in fifth grade. Beginning in spring of 2023, he launched a pilot, tutoring program at the Haggerty school for fifth grade instrumentalists. He is also a member of BYS in Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra. In the summer of 2023 and 2024, he attended Greenwood music camp. In his free time, he loves solving Rubix Cubes and preforming magic tricks.

  • Jordan Gwon

    DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

    Jordan is a sophmore at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, MA, and has studied the viola for 6 years. She currently is a part of the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra. Other than music, she likes to draw and read in her free time.

  • Hannah Chun

    DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

    Hannah, a college sophomore, plays the oboe and English horn. She co-runs the Pro Musica Chamber Players. Outside of her musical pursuits, she enjoys watching movies, going on runs, and spending time with friends.

  • Stephen Gwon

    ASSOCIATE

    Stephen is a freshman at Harvard College. He plays the piano and also enjoys writing for the Harvard Crimson in his free time.

  • Andrew Kim

    cello

    Andrew is a senior at Weston High School. He is a member of the Boston Youth Symphony, where he has served as Principal Cellist. He has won multiple competitions, including the Boston Pops Young Artist Competition and YoungArts National Competition. Andrew was also selected as one of 45 cellists worldwide to compete in the International Tchaikovsky Youth Competition. Andrew enjoys playing tennis and spending time with friends.

  • Anna Kehayova

    violin

    Anna is a sophomore at CRLS and has been playing violin since she was 5 years old. She has been a member of the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras since first grade, joining the Boston Youth Symphony in 2020. She also plays in two piano trios, coached at the New England Conservatory, and has attended Rivers Summer Music, Berkshire Summer Music, Greenwood and Philadelphia International Music Festival in the summers. In her free time, Anna loves to read, write, do crafts, bake and spend time with her friends.

  • Annabel Battle Abdelal

    Annabel is a senior at the Noble and Greenough School. She is currently a Co-President of the Nobles Symphony Orchestra and plays violin for Camerata Strings. She also works with the Nobles Music Outreach program. In her free time, she plays soccer, softball, and volunteers at local organizations.

  • Ashley Gong

    oboe

    Ashley Gong is a senior at Harvard studying Computer Science and Classics. She is an oboist for the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra and has played for other ensembles on campus such as the Mozart Society Orchestra and the Harvard Pops Orchestra. Ashley studies with Amanda Hardy and John Ferrillo, principal oboe of the Boston Symphony. She was also formerly the president of Continuo! In her free time, Ashley loves running, reading, and trying new food!

  • Audrey Tushman

    piano

    Audrey, 15, studies piano at Rivers School Conservatory and Cremona International Music Academy in Italy. She soloed with the Orquestra do Algarve in Portugal, and as a visual artist, her art inspired composer Katianna Nardone to write a piano piece which Audrey premiered in 2024. Audrey has performed in Carnegie Weill Hall, Brussels, and London. She enjoys binging childhood TV shows in her free time.

  • Ava Kung

    violin

    Ava is an eighth grader at The Pike School and has been playing the violin since she was 4 years old. She is currently a violinist in the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and is a past member of the Boston Youth Symphony. Aside from music she enjoys spending time with friends and is a competitive squash player.

  • Catalina Godoy

    cello

    Catalina is a junior at Cambridge Rindge and Latin. She has played the cello since she was in second grade where she played in her school orchestra. During the school year, she loves to play chamber music, and often accompanies her mom’s students. She enjoys going to Point Counterpoint chamber music camp and playing viola da gamba during the summer. Whenever she is not playing music, you can find her rowing on the Charles River or running with her friends.

  • Connor McClennen

    clarinet

    Connor is a senior at Wellesley High School. As of this year, he has been performing in the Wellesley High School Wind Ensemble for four years. Additionally, he is a member of the Rivers Youth Wind Ensemble. In his free time, Connor enjoys playing volleyball and exercising.

  • Ella Luo

    cello

    Ella is a sophomore at the Winsor School in Boston, MA. She plays cello in the Boston Youth Symphony and spent the past summer studying in the cello workshop at BU’s Tanglewood Institute. In her free time, Ella loves to play ice hockey and spend time with her dogs.

  • Ethan Liu

    voice

    Ethan is a senior at Wellesley High School. He is a baritone who has taken private vocal lessons for over 5 years. In his school, he is in the Rice Street Singers and is a music leader of the a cappella group A Cappella Anonymous. Outside of school he has performed arias from The Barber of Seville and Carmen.

  • Eugene Lee

    flute

    Eugene, a senior at Cambridge Rindge & Latin, majored in flute performance in Yewon School, Korea. After moving to greater Boston, where he currently studies at NEC prep, Eugene was noted as a 2024 National YoungArts Winner and first place of the 2023 UMASS Amherst Young Artist Awards. Outside of music, he enjoys leading Rubik’s Cube workshops at local youth centers.

  • Heidi Ernst

    oboe

    Heidi is a freshman at Winchester High School. She studies oboe at New England Conservatory and it is her fifth year in BYSO as an oboist. She is an active member of the BYSO chamber music program. This past summer, she attended BU Tanglewood Institute. In her free time, she enjoys cross-country skiing, sailing, and spending time with her friends.

  • Jade Boyer

    Jade is a junior at Chelmsford High School who plays the flute and piccolo in the Boston Youth Symphony. This year, she is excited to be performing in the pit orchestra of her school’s production of “Beauty and the Beast”. In her free time, she enjoys photography, writing, and graphic design. 

  • Jared Wang

    clarinet

    Jared is a freshman clarinetist and saxophonist at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and plays saxophone in the college’s Nicholas Payton Ensemble under the direction of Jason Palmer. A graduate of Newton South High School and a Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras alumnus, Jared was an active high school musician and was heavily involved in high school jazz and orchestra programs in the Greater Boston area.

  • Lukas Shrestha

    Lukas is a sophomore at Newton South High School. He is a violist in the Boston Youth Symphony and this is his 10th year playing viola. He enjoyed his summer at the BU Tanglewood Institute and BYSO Camp spending time with friends and making music. In his free time he likes to watch YouTube videos of his favorite symphonies with the score, sleep, and eat.

  • Maggie Ernst

    Maggie is a junior at Winchester High School and studies the oboe at NEC Prep. This is her fifth year playing in the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras and their chamber ensembles. She attended BU's Tanglewood Institute as well as NEC’s Summer Orchestral Institute. In her free time, Maggie enjoys spending time with friends, running, and writing.

  • Malcolm Patti

    Malcolm is a freshman at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High school. He currently performs in the Tufts Youth Philharmonic. He has attended Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra ChamberFest and Point CounterPoint music camp in Vermont. He studies piano with Esther Ning Yau and cello with Miriam Eckelhoefer. In his free time he plays baseball for two Cambridge-based teams.

  • Mari Kang

    Mari is a freshman at Lexington High School and started studying violin at five. She is a member of NEC prep ensembles and has participated in the Greenwood Music Camp, Heifetz International Music Institute, and Walnut Hill String Quartet Intensive. Outside of music, Mari likes to read, spend time with friends, debate, and run.

  • Sam Fasciano

    cello

    Sam is a senior at Newton North High School. He began playing the cello when he was five. He currently is a member of the Boston Youth Symphony, Camerata Strings, and plays chamber music. When not in rehearsal Sam enjoys sight reading duets, eating good food, and chilling with friends.

  • Shirin Soleimani

    piano

    Shirin is a freshman at Harvard University and has experience with a range of instruments. She has performed classical and modern piano on a national level in Canada, her home country, achieving her Associates Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music, and has been a part of concert, jazz, pit and wind orchestras playing various low brass instruments - such as the euphonium and tuba. Alongside her musical pursuits, she has been a ballet and lyrical dancer for over a decade. In her spare time, she enjoys watching a good TV series, playing video games and hanging out with her cats.

  • Victoria Park

    piano

    Victoria is a freshman at MIT and plays both classical and jazz piano. She has won prizes in the Bay State, SONE, MTNA, Rivera, Paderewski, Crescendo competitions and was named a National Chopin Scholar. She has spent her summers at Greenwood and BUTI, and recently attended the 2024 Panama Jazz Festival. In her free time she likes to draw!
